AS Monaco and Esport-Management visit the Monacoeur association!
The children who are members of this association met the club’s stars and played Rocket League!
During the weekend of August 10th, a big video game competition was held in the Louis II stadium. This tournament, organized by Esport-Management and AS Monaco, saw two excellent Rocket League teams compete against each other: Nordavind DNB and We’re Cool. The teams came together in the salon de Monte-Carlo, and both were ready to shine during the opening Monaco-Lyon game.
But before they revved the engines of their virtual cars, the players on both sides, as well as a few of the AS Monaco players, took the time to advise some of the children from AS Monacoeur. It was a very special moment that let the teens discover Rocket League, or that helped them improve their technique. It also let the players impart some of their knowledge. The kids also left with their arms full of gifts!
The finale started soon after this workshop. Nordavind DNB dominated during the entire game, and won with a score of 4 to 1. This means that they won the 450€ prize, as well as a chance to move on to a detection phase, which could see them joining AS Monaco’s esports ranks.
“This is the first time that we have hosted this kind of event here in the Louis II stadium, a gaming event where six pro players fought in a finale organized by our partner Esport-Management. Rocket League is a game that is very important to AS Monaco esports. We plan to pursue a development in this area this season,” declared Simon Rémoussin, the AS Monaco esports’ Esport Manager.
